Thousand Island Lake Labor Day Weekend, 2006
Over Labor Day Weekend 2006 a big group of us went backpacking in the Ansel Adams Wilderness (near Yosemite). We hiked about 7 miles from the Agnew Meadows trailhead at Mammoth Mountain to Thousand Island Lake. It was an amazing place to camp out, even if we had to pack all our food into bear canisters. (Julian did pack along a "bag" of wine so we weren't without the finer things in life!) Looking back over the pictures I'd forgotten just how breathtaking it all was. makes me long to dust off hte hiking boot and hit the trail again...
