Halemaumau Crater
From 1890 to 1924, the crater was filled with a boiling lake of lava. In 1924 the lava level dropped and contact with the ground water caused an explosive eruption. The crater remains active, with steam seeping from the crater floor and rim.

They also have a nice overview of the history of the volcanic activity and recent eruption activity. (And it's the best source for the current state of the lava flows if you're hoping to see it all up close.)
