For our out of town guests...

We live in the southern-most part of the San Francisco Bay Area, what locals call the South Bay. We are about 55 miles south of San Francisco. The wedding will take place in Los Gatos, a small town at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Downtown Los Gatos -- a collection of boutique shops, funky bars and small restaurants -- is equal parts quaint and yuppie. The wedding site is located just off a winding mountain highway about 5 miles from downtown Los Gatos.

Air Travel:

The Bay Area is served by 3 airports:

  • San Jose Airport (SJC) - 15 miles to Los Gatos
  • San Francisco Airport (SFO) - 40 miles to Los Gatos
  • Oakland Airport (OAK) - 45 miles to Los Gatos

San Jose is the most convenient airport, but you may find better deals into San Francisco or Oakland.

Rental Car:

We recommend renting a car as the Bay Area lacks fast and reliable public transportation. To compare the best rates from all major rental companies, visit orbitz.com.

Lodging:

There are not many hotels in Los Gatos itself so if you plan to stay there you should book your room as soon as possible. We have listed a few hotels here that are conveniently located to the wedding.

Los Gatos Lodge - 5 miles from Redwood Estates Pavilion
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Los Gatos Lodge for $99/night. Mention "Lucas/Hedges Wedding" (Confirmation #45490) when making a reservation. This rate will be held on a first-come basis until June 15.

Beyond Los Gatos:
Hotels.com and Orbitz.com tend to offer good rates for hotels. We suggest hotels in Santa Clara, Campbell, Sunnyvale and Cupertino as these are close and safe cities. If you have questions about a particular hotel we can check it out for you.
